Group X Greyhound 'Mila' voted Mayor of SF
San Francisco's new Dog Mayor!
Hosted by Friends of San Francisco Animal Care and Control, the 2016’s Dog Mayor race of San Francisco did not disappoint. Culminating in a last minute hand count, Greyhounds Mila “fewer nail clippings and more treats” and Lucca “more fetch for all” were so close that a runoff was necessary. Adding to the excitement, Mila and Lucca live under the same roof. Teresa King, President of Group X, loves and cares for these magnificent members of her family (sometimes having to get in-between them in this heated race). When the last ballot was counted, Mila took honors. However, showing her grace, Mila appointed Lucca to Deputy Mayor.
Group X shows its support for Pet Pride Day
When the folks at premier Bay Area communications company, Group X make a commitment to give something back, they don’t just write a check. They dive in head first and do what they do best -- help create a memorable event that inspires and motivates. That was certainly the case at this year’s Pet Pride Day where Group X was in full force behind the scenes. They designed and built the stage, managed the sound, donated and set up the tents and the tables and the chairs beneath them. They even provided contest judges!
According to Group X owner and top creative guru, Teresa King, supporting ACC and Pet Pride is personal. Teresa is not only an animal lover, she’s an animal savior. For the past nine years she has been very involved with Golden State Greyhound Adoption, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that places retired racing greyhounds in adoptive homes. Over the years Group X has not only provided their support to the organization, but Teresa has personally adopted 5 greyhounds, providing them with a peaceful, loving home where they can live out the rest of their lives.
